Hello and welcome to the blog of your dreams! I want to start off by saying thanks to PSA for making this possible. Hopefully you fellow softball junkies will make this blog a powerful thing in the world of softball here in Georgia. WTF is this….a thank you speech?

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Strawberry. Yes, it’s a nickname given to me a long time ago by some friends that I grew up skateboarding/riding bikes with. This will not be moderated (hopefully) like other blogs and forums. I am a bit of an a-hole, a strategist, and an overall awesome guy to be around. I like making the most of times both on and off the field. I will be the first to make a joke of something and laugh when the time is right. Where does all this play into the “blog?” Well let me tell you…

Like most of us, there is a sh*t talking side of me that comes to light on the ball field that makes people (usually the ones the shit talking is directed to) angry. My granddaddy always told me if bothers you, then it must be true. So, when there is a team across the field from mine, with my team being just like me, there is always a tense moment or two within the game. First, let me state that teams usually try talking as much I do, or this guy or THAT GUY, but this usually leads to some type of physical struggle. Second, said physical struggle is usually disrupted by a comment or joke in which starts the process all over again.

Next time you’re on the field, don’t get so angry, some of us are just channeling our comedic side that got us detention or ass whippings growing up. We are all going to step in the box to hit, so that is when it becomes your chance to comment/ rag/ joke/ dis/ call-out the player or team. Keep it fun and involve the umpires at intervals during the game, so they don’t feel left out. Speaking of umpires, they are the topic of our next conversation.
